Hastelloy C276 corrosion resistance:
It is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. Its higher molybdenum and chromium content make the alloy resistant to chloride ions, and tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. HC276 is one of the only materials that can resist the corrosion of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. The alloy has remarkable corrosion resistance to high concentration of chloride solution (such as ferric chloride and copper chloride).
Its applications are:
Pulp and paper industries; equipment and components operating in acidic gas environments. Acetic acid and acid products reactor; Sulphuric acid condenser ; Production and processing of unpurified phosphoric acid.
