The corrosion resistance and the main use of the environment: Hastelloy alloy C-276 is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy containing tungsten, it has very low silicon and carbon content. It is considered a universal corrosion resistant alloy. The alloy has the following characteristics: ① In the oxidation and reduction state, it has excellent corrosion resistance for most corrosive media. ② It has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion resistance. High molybdenum, chromium content make alloy resist chloride ion corrosion, tungsten element enhanced the corrosion resistance. At the same time, C-276 alloy is one of corrosion materials to wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solution, it has significant corrosion resistance to high concentration chloride salt solution such as ferric chloride and chloride copper. It is applicable to various concentrations of sulfuric acid solution, and it is one of the materials, which can be used in hot concentrated sulfuric acid solution.
