The welder is particularly satisfied with the tungsten-lanthanum electrode when welding the pipe. WLa electrode has long service life thus reducing downtime. In general, lanthanum tungsten electrode containing 1.5% lanthanum oxide is needed, which is easy to arc at low current and can stabilize the arc at low current.
Tungsten-lanthanum electrode is mainly used in DC welding and it also works well when it comes to alternating current welding.
WLa15 electrode has the closest conductivity with WTh20 electrode. Therefore, the welder can easily replace the electrode without changing the parameters of the equipment.
