The characteristics and application of molybdenum electrode

The quality and toughness of molybdenum electrode is better than that of tungsten. Molybdenum has high elastic modulus, high melting point and good mechanical properties. Molybdenum has good corrosion resistance, low expansion, high strength and stiffness at high temperatures, excellent thermal conductivity, ductility, low emissivity, resistivity and low vapor pressure.

Molybdenum electrode has good oxidation resistance at high temperature and long service life. Based on these advantages, it is usually used in daily glass, optical glass, thermal insulation material, glass fiber, rare earth industry and so on. The main components of molybdenum electrodes were prepared by molybdenum powder metallurgy process.

The content of molybdenum electrode in the international standard is 99.95%, the density is more than 10.15g/cm3, so as to ensure the quality of the glass and the service life of the electrode.

It can effectively reduce the pollution to the environment and improve the quality of the glass by using molybdenum electrode instead of the original heavy oil and gas energy.
