Driven by the rebound of manufacturing industry, tungsten prices continue to maintain upward trend.
Ganzhou Tungsten Industry Association recently released tungsten guiding prices in Jun, 2013. Guiding prices of wolframite concentrate, APT and tungsten powder with medium-grain respectively are 135 thousand yuan per ton, 207 thousand yuan per ton and 320 yuan per kg. This is the fifth time since Feb of this year that Ganzhou Tungsten Industry Association escalates the guiding price of wolframite concentrate.
Compared with May, 2012, the guiding price of wolframite concentrate rises 2 thousand yuan per ton, guiding prices of APT and tungsten powder rise 7 thousand yuan per ton and 10 yuan per kg.
The leading enterprise in nonferrous metal industry also raised quoted price of tungsten concentrate in May, 2013. According to the latest quoted prices in May 24, 2013, the guiding price of 65% of black tungsten is 138 thousand per ton, 65% of white tungsten is 137 thousand per ton. Compared with prices of May 5th, prices increased 3 thousand and 2 thousand yuan.
The price of tungsten concentrate powder also rises, which will bring benefits to the producers who are mining tungsten ore.
However, with the rise of domestic tungsten concentrate market price, the actual turnover of tungsten concentrate need to be improved. It is understood that the actual transactions are not ideal and processing enterprises choose wait and see.
